Jill Rorem joined Legalpeople in 2017 after leading the Plante Moran ProjecTemps legal staffing department for more than 12 years, bringing her leadership, knowledge and enthusiasm for all things document review & eDiscovery. At Legalpeople, she is responsible for business development both in Chicago and nationally, as well as high level management of document review projects. A former litigator with labor and employment firms, Jill leverages her combination of legal and staffing experience to match her clients with the talent they need to create an efficient process and an effective result. Jill understands the urgency of the discovery process and what’s at stake, and she makes her clients’ needs her team’s top priority, including matching the right subject matter expertise to the type of case. Jill’s ability to work with a variety of personalities under intense pressure, developed in part during a wild two-year stint booking talent and recruiting staff for a major TV industry talent agency, means that she is able to put the right team in place to achieve a successful resolution to the project — on time and on budget. Recognizing that turnover can jeopardize the success of a legal case, Jill and her team gauge candidates’ personalities to build a cohesive team that will work well together. She is a hands-on manager who frequently visits project sites to ensure productivity and maintain open lines of communication. This personal attention builds loyalty among the legal professionals with whom Jill and her team have cultivated relationships.
Jill regularly presents to associations, law firms, and corporations an interesting and informative MCLE presentation “Demystifying the Contract Attorney Process,” which is worth one hour of ethics MCLE credit. Jill holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She lives in Andersonville with her husband and two daughters.
